Rebekah's qualifications and experience

Rebekah is a passionate and confident advocate who's very focused on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients, both in and out of the courtroom. She has an empathetic nature which puts clients at ease when they're navigating the legal system during a difficult period in their lives.

She began her career in 2016 in Adelaide where she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (with honours), a Bachelor of Journalism, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. During her undergraduate law degree, she received three awards for academic achievement and a high distinction for her honours thesis. She then worked in private practice in a number of areas, including criminal law and protection orders.

In 2017, Rebekah travelled to the United States where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Law (Trial Advocacy) from the prestigious Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. It was here that Rebekah further developed her trial skills and passion for advocacy. She received many academic prizes for her advocacy skills and served as a mock trial judge for several competitions.

Upon her return to Adelaide, Rebekah returned to private practice and at the start of 2021 relocated to Canberra. She then spent a period working at Legal Aid ACT where she represented disadvantaged members of the community who'd been charged with serious criminal offences.

Rebekah is excited to bring her experience in criminal law and family violence matters to KJB Law. She provides clients with advice that is timely, strategic, realistic, and cost-effective and is very determined to give your matter the full time and attention it deserves.

She's also successfully run a number of hearings in both criminal and protection order matters. Her advocacy skills, experience, and passion allow her to vigorously represent her clients and achieve excellent results, whether it be an opposed application for bail or a contested hearing.

Rebekah looks forward to working with you towards the successful resolution of your matter.
