Kristi is an associate in our property law team. She has a double degree in law and criminal justice, and has a diverse background in community service and private practice. Kristi offers a client-centred approach and suggests strategic solutions to achieve favourable outcomes. Her commitment to community support and diversity remains unwavering, and she is dedicated to working with individuals from all backgrounds.
Kristi is from New Zealand and while studying for the law she completed her internship with the New Zealand Public Defence Service and volunteered at Community Law Canterbury for three years.
After graduating, she travelled for six months, and then worked in personal injury insurance at Gallagher Bassett in New Zealand for two years. In 2020, she began working in a position at a generalist law firm in regional New Zealand. There, she focused on conveyancing and assisted with relationship property, wills and estates, and commercial matters, as the firm needed.
In April 2022, she made the move across the Tasman to Australia. She and her partner made their home in Canberra, her partner's home town. "He'd been stuck in New Zealand for ages due to covid and now I get a chance to see what life across the ditch is all about, all the while exploring a fabulous new country!" she says.
Kristi is passionate about supporting communities and working alongside every member who makes up that community, regardless of their background. She is committed to honouring and respecting diversity.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and cycling, and, before covid, she enjoyed a lot of travelling. "I've travelled through Europe and Asia, and I’m particularly fond of anywhere warm, sunny, and coastal. And I just love
the beach!"
