Karen's qualifications and experience
Karen is a qualified legal executive with the New Zealand Law Society, having completed her legal studies in 2002, and, in total, she has more than 28 years of legal experience with law firms in the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand.
She joined KJB Law in 2006 on her return to Canberra after living in Christchurch, New Zealand, for 12 years with her family.
Karen enjoys assisting clients with her expertise in ACT residential property conveyancing and provides a prompt and efficient service with a pragmatic and commonsense approach which sits very comfortably with clients.

"It was such an honour even to be nominated, but to win this award was a real privilege," Karen says. "I'm so very proud of winning because it recognises the good service I give to both clients and agents. I put my heart and soul into what I do. You know, I really love my job. Winning this title was just the icing on the cake."

Its mission is to enhance the standard of education, knowledge, professional development, and business practice for its members and the wider community.

Behind the law
Karen was born in New Zealand, however, she moved to Australia at a young age and later returned to New Zealand to live from 1994 to 2006 with her young family.
Although she's a Kiwi at heart, she has a huge advantage when it comes to Australia and New Zealand rivalry in sporting events as she's backing a winner every time!
Karen has lived in many different places in New Zealand and Australia and this has fostered her love of travel and and she's been able to travel extensively overseas.
