Andrew's qualifications and experience
Andrew graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws. He joined KJB Law in 1995 and he became a partner in 2000. He's a key figure in the development of KJB Law as a modern legal practice.
Andrew has appeared in all the courts and tribunals of the ACT. This experience provides him with the capacity to evaluate options and provide well-considered advice. He's presented professional-development seminars for the ACT Law Society and has been a regular presenter for Legalwise seminars.
Andrew's legal specialisations of practice include:
- Estate-planning and administration, including advising executors, and preparing simple and complex wills, and enduring powers of attorney;
- Litigation, including disputes.
As the chairman of CARE, the treasurer of the Burley Griffin Amateur Swim Club, a former national director of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, and a former councillor of the ACT Law Society, Andrew has experience in and has made much-valued contributions to the broader ACT community.
Taking time out from the law
Andrew was born and bred on a mixed grazing and cropping farm at Ungarie, in Central NSW. He's a keen cyclist and, when time permits, thoroughly enjoys cross-country skiing.
A devoted family man, he thinks Canberra is a wonderful environment in which to work and raise a family.
He's married to Robyn, a professional portrait photographer. He has three children — whom, he says, possibly contributed to his grey hair.
