Carolyn's experience and expertise

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History and Politics) from the Australian National University.

Following her admission in 1994, with her fourth child under one year old, she delayed entering the paid workforce for a few years.

Carolyn has practised in community, private, and public sector roles and has a broad range of experience across a number of areas of law. This has enhanced her skills in managing family law matters, her primary area of practice over most of her career.

Her experience in other areas of the law, as well as in other industries, has developed in her the capacity to consider the interaction of other areas of law on her clients' matters, as well as keen awareness of the many non-legal issues that also have an impact on the best way to approach each client’s situation.

Controversially perhaps, Carolyn believes lawyers belong to one of the caring professions and she always seeks to ensure that she's part of a team of professionals, friends, and family who provide support and guidance to someone currently dealing with a sad and difficult time.

                  "

To be honest, the most important things I've ever learned were  taught to me by my kids, and these lessons are patience and perseverance.
