Our Fees

  • Professional fees are charged generally on a time basis, dependent upon the time required to handle your matter. The hourly rate to be charged and any likely out-of-pocket expenses will be advised to you at the commencement of your matter; (see attached);
  • Free quotations can be provided based on an estimation of the work required;
  • You will be notified immediately on any change in the charge rate or unexpected action that may result in fees higher than those estimated;
  • Accounts for work performed to-date are provided on a fortnightly basis;
  • Residential Conveyancing – set fees plus disbursements are charged for both NSW and ACT (see attached);
  • Compensation cases – your case will be conducted so that you only pay the firm’s professional fees at the conclusion of the matter;
  • Disbursement items such as court fees, searches and enquiries, medical reports etc. generally are required to be paid in advance;
  • Payment arrangements can be discussed.
  • Under the provisions of the Legal Profession Act 2006 in matters were professional costs will exceed $1,500 we are required to provide you with a Costs Disclosure Statement and Costs Agreement for your signature prior to commencement of work in your matter;
